Money is not everything

Why is it that our opinion of another person depends so much on how much money that person has?There is no doubt that in today’s world money is very important as Education has become so costly.But there are a lot of qualities that can be developed even if one has less money. Humility,sensitivity for art,poetry,compassion,total control of anger and violence,understanding one’s purpose in existence,meditativeness,being of a cheerful nature.All these and a hundred more dont  need money to develop.So why does  money play such an important role when we pass judgements on others?
