Jottings on Shoonya

Shoonya in Sanskrit could mean many things.

The common translation could be empty or emptiness.

It could mean the void.

It could be zero (a component of the computer language)

It could be vaccum,or non-existence,or even indifference.

Shoonya is full of meanings.My jottings on Shoonya are on Shoonya as void.

Jottings are thoughts on paper.Question marks.Shoonya is quite a popular concept both in Hindu( including Kashmir Shaivism) as well as Buddhist religious literature.

Could the Universe be an expanding Shoonya? With portions of it a contracting shoonya?

Can a void grow larger or smaller?

Can there be a void within a void ?

Is a dark hole in space  not a shoonya ?

Can a shoonya not explode ? Or implode?

If darkness is an absence of light,is not Shoonya  an absence of light as well as  space?

The big bang was born from Shoonya  and will end in shoonya.

The sun as well as the solar system as well as the planets and the earth have all emerged from  the void.

All humans too are a part of this void.

Death is accepted but the void is not.Why is this so ?

What is lost must be regained

Is individuality no more a virtue?

Is small no more beautiful?

Is the world not getting more corporate….with the big gobbling up the small?

Is  so much competition good for any anyone?

How do you avoid getting sucked into the mad  rat race that humans are running?

Where will global warming and using up all of earth’s natural resources take us finally?

When will the exploding  overall  population of earth  ever start decreasing?

When will we ever regain our individuality  again?

Can movies affect your heart?

As technology becomes more advanced,film makers have more control over your emotions.

Thrillers,action movies,suspense,horror,crime  are common genres.And there are many successful movies in these genres.And all these movies manipulate your emotions so that you are at the edge of your seat most of the time.

My question is what is the effect of these movies on the weak hearted ?

Is there any research done on people who have heart related problems or who already have  had a heart attack? Can such movies create any additional problems  like for example arythymia?Should not doctors  warn their weak hearted patients not to see such movies?

My point is not that film makers should stop making heart breaking movies ,but that the weak hearted should stop seeing movies which affect  their health.

Is there any research done on the above questions?

A guardian angel is your birth right

The concept of a guardian angel for each and every individual in the world is a beautiful concept. Each and every child has protective parents at the time of birth. Just extend this concept, of a guardian in the spiritual world ,and you have the guardian angel.

In India they have the concept of a Family God or a deity which protects that family. There are mantras which possess protective powers. The Mrityunjaya Mantra is supposed to protect one against accidents.

It is a matter of faith as well as an energy around you. You can also call it an awareness. If you are constantly alert ,chances are that accidents will not happen to you.

So your guardian angel is also awareness. There are other qualities which you must develop to have the guardian angel on your side. Virtue is a big plus point. Truth prevails and acts as a protective shield. The important thing is also belief. If you sincerely believe in the guardian angel and simultaneously believe in yourself, you will make the right choices and these choices will be the work of the guardian angel within you.

There is a guardian angel for each and every one.

Why has no research work been done on guardian angels?

There is I.Q.(Intelligence Quotient)on which there is a lot of research and usage……

There is E.Q.(Emotional Quotient) on which also there  is 

a lot of study…

So also there is Spiritual Quotient…..

Why is there no S.Q.(Spiritual Quotient)work or research.?

S.Q. technology is going to be a very importantant part of the human personality in times to come along with computer technology.

Dont the two go hand in hand?

The beginning was  in the feminine

To the feminine you can add the mysterious.

To the feminine you can add the divine.

Or the alluring.

Without the feminine nothing is complete.

Without the feminine nothing is interesting.

So why has the feminine been so neglected ?

What is within?

Abundant silence is within-if only you shut off the speakers of your mind.

Total peace of mind is within -if you remove the turmoil of restlessness.

Vast space is within, as much as outer space,if only you can dive deep within.

The trick is to find the right balance between within and without….
